About Mentora Academy
Our story
It started above a bakery with eleven students
In the autumn of 2013, two teachers grew tired of watching capable people get locked out of learning. Evening courses at the local college had waiting lists a year long, online classes had completion rates in single digits, and private bootcamps cost more than a used car. There was a gap in the middle and most working adults were falling through it.
So they rented a room above the Haveli Bakery on Linden Avenue, set out eleven chairs, and taught the first web development class on Tuesday nights after work. Word traveled the way it does when something is genuinely useful. Today Mentora occupies three floors on the same street, teaches twenty four courses across five fields, and still keeps the chairs small, the rooms quiet and the tuition published.
The bakery is still downstairs. Students still buy bread before class. Some things we have no plans to change.

What we believe
Four rules we refuse to break
Every decision about courses, schedules and fees gets tested against these. When something fails the test, it does not ship.
Small rooms
Eighteen students per class, always. It costs us more per student and it is the single reason our graduates finish what they start.
Honest feedback
Praise is easy to give and easy to receive. We give the other kind too, kindly, specifically and in time to fix the work.
Practice first
Theory exists to serve the project in front of you. Every course ends with work you can show, not just a grade you can memorize.
Fair prices
Published fees are the whole fees. Payment plans come standard, and no student has ever paid for a certificate or a letter.
Meet the team
The people at the front of the room
Every one of them still works in the field they teach. Between them they hold day jobs in engineering, brand design, data and management coaching.
